How we report and correct our work.
Our reporting connects Canadian defence developments to the evidence behind them.
Sources and attribution
We link material claims to their supporting sources, including government records, company announcements and attributable reporting. A company statement is identified as a company statement. We distinguish announced plans, options, contracts, deliveries and operational capability, and state material uncertainty beside the claim it qualifies.

Reporting, analysis and authorship
Reported facts and Anvil North’s editorial assessments are distinguished in the text. Anvil North Team is our collective editorial byline. Earlier reporting may carry the Anvil North Intelligence Desk byline. These identify the publication’s editorial work; they do not imply that a source or a company covered in the report authored or endorsed it.
Automated tools may support research and drafting. Claims require source checking and editorial review before publication; generated text is not a source of evidence.
Corrections and updates
To report an error, contact the editorial team with the page URL, the disputed statement and supporting evidence. We assess correction requests against the source record.
When a substantive factual error is corrected, we add a correction note explaining what changed. Material additions carry an updated date and, where recorded, a time. Original publication dates remain visible. Spelling, formatting and maintenance changes do not refresh an article’s publication date.
Dates and photographs
Article headers show the original publication date and, for timestamped reports, Eastern Time. Earlier date-only records retain their original precision. Event and source-announcement dates appear separately in the reporting.
Photographs carry source credits and applicable licences. File photographs and illustrations are labelled, with context explaining what they depict.
Ownership and commercial disclosure
Anvil North is a property of Quwa Group Inc. Advertising and sponsored material must be clearly labelled. Material commercial relationships relevant to a report must be disclosed to readers. Payment does not establish a supplier’s capability, qualification or procurement status.
